Mimi began a mindfulness meditation practice in 1996 and over the years has embodied mindfulness as a way of life. In 2001, she received lay ordination by Shohaku Okumura Roshi who is the abbot of Sanshin Zen Community in Bloomington, IN. Mimi has also been trained by one of the world’s leading mindfulness experts, Shamash Alidina. She is credentialed through the Society of Holistic Therapists and Coaches along with Mindful Schools and is a member of the International Association of Meditation Instructors.

Mimi teaches mindful meditation through classes, workshops and retreats and offers instruction for individuals, small groups and corporations.

Her wide range of students include leadership teams, women in recovery, members in weight loss programs, men in motor sports, parents, teachers, artists and teenagers.  She has developed specific curriculum for women who are homeless and those who have been sex-trafficked.

Mimi supports BenefitsApp with rich and meaningful mindfulness tips. BenefitsApp is a mobile platform which gives employees access to their benefits wherever they are.

Testimonial

“Mimi has been a blessing to me personally as well as to the Hope House Foundation where she graciously offered her Four-Week Mindful Living Series. The Hope House foundation is a transitional living shelter for homeless women and children. Mimi offered us respite from the storm. She taught us how to slow down, breathe and be still. Not an easy feat when your life is in chaos. Our organization offers shelter from the storm and we often say, “Catch your breath.” Mimi equipped us with tools that provided us an opportunity to learn how to regain our sense of self and well- being. She is a gentle spirit with a heart for healing and provides a calm and gracious presence to those she meets.”  -Debbie O’Handley, Executive Director
